The town hall dates of the Renaissance (XVIth), it comprises some beautiful hangings.

Beaugency welcomed an important council in 1152, which was full of consequence for France and England. Indeed, its object was to officialize the cancellation of the marriage between Alienor of Aquitaine and the king Louis VII. The heiress of the duke of Aquitaine married then with the prince Henri Plantagenêt, the future king of England, to whom it brought in dowry the south-west of France.
