Tapestry of the Queen Mathilde in Bayeux

Old of almost 1000 years this great tapestry tells the conquest of England by the Norman Guillaume the Conqueror. Also designated as tapestry of Bayeux, it was by error allotted to the XVIIIth century to the Queen Mathilde.
She would have been ordered by the count of Kent in England to decorate his cathedral.
