Le Mans - cathedral

Saint-Julien was the first bishop of Le Mans (in th IVth century). The cathedral which is dedicated to him comprises an important Gothic bedside, system of propping up. The nave has Romance origin with arcades of the 11th century, the chorus from the 13th is Gothic, a transept and the tower are from the 14 and 15th centuries, in radiant Gothic.
The very beautiful southern gate is from the 12th century.
